Sustainable Design

Ritsu value timber as a renewable and sustainable resource and their aim is to incorporate these values into the log cabins and buildings that they produce.

They continue to develop and invest in their portfolio and likewise, in production facilities where they have developed their own production machinery and CNC systems - today Ritsu's production lines are fully automated delivering precise results everytime.

Today the company produce traditional log homes and buildings but have broken the mould and led the way in designing modern homes and buildings using square cut logs creating stunning new models that help fashion novel design opportunities for log cabins, as holiday accommodation, homes, and offices.

Quality

Ritsu hold Certification to ISO 9001 : 2015 and ETA (European Technical Approval - CE Mark) - this ensures that all products leaving the factory are of the utmost quality and built to precision.

Every successful product is the result of hard work and this applies to every field of business - including Ritsu Timber Buildings.

Whilst Ritsu make extensive use of CNC machinery and modern methods of manufacture, they also rely on the skills acquired by their team - together they help ensure that the product which leaves the factory is of the highest quality.

Unique

Arising from a combination of factors including development and experience Ritsu log cabins and timber buildings benefit from the patient research undertaken in developing their products and manufacturing systems. The precision and quality of their buildings will be evident even when viewing online and this quality extends inside to offering a real "log cabin" experience.

In homes featuring Ritsu's unique square logs most will feature logs of a thickness 180 - 202 mm for external walls, internal walls use thinner logs at 114 mm thick, allowing savings on timber, transport and construction. Many of their competitors will use thinner logs, doubled up as this helps reduce costs but the result is not a true log cabin and not the Ritsu way of doing things

Research shows us that the "Staycation" sector in the UK was exhibiting the fastest growth rates even well before the Covid pandemic and the highest growth rates are at the luxury end of the market. We are looking to work with park operators, developers, investors and individuals where we can offer our stunning collection of log cabins and timber buildings - all perfectly adapted to fill this niche. In their home markets Ritsu supply these buildings as homes and summer houses - they are of course built to not only survive in hostile environments but to serve as homes creating safe, healthy living environments - making them perfectly adaptable here in the UK as luxury holiday accommodation.

We remain open to discussing use as residential homes where designs can be customised to include improved insulation to close to Passiv-Haus standards together with enhanced security.

With changes to working practices arising from the pandemic, many of our buildings are also readily adaptable for use as offices - creating cost-effective solutions for offices generally and as regional office hubs perhaps for national and multi-national organisations?

With life spans well in excess of 60 years Ritsu log cabins and timber buildings can outperform conventional timber clad lodges, extending profit periods significantly and with minimal maintenance. 

Installation

Balustrad (UK-based) will take care of the entire sales process, we can help guide your through the planning process although for holiday accommodation the rules are much simpler and likewise the rules governing Building Regulations.

From there we can work with you to prepare the site in readiness to accept delivery of our buildings, even if required, building the basework for you including bringing in the site services.

We will erect the building to a weathertight condition and leave you to undertake the first and second fix items OR we can carry out these works for you. Such works can include flooring, lighting, plumbing, bathrooms, kitchens - on a turn key project by project basis.
